Today Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Mayor Councillor Thomas Beckett, along with the Chairman of the Leisure Services Committee Alderman Paul Porter opened the museum’s latest exhibition: The Boyne, marking the 325th anniversary of the battle. See some of the photos below.
The exhibition marks the 325th anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne, fought between the forces of James II and William of Orange. This exhibition will show off a number of the museum’s recent acquisitions, including Dirck Maas’ fantastic The victory of King William III at the Battle of the Boyne, 1690.
