Suzanne Higgott MA FSA is Curator of Glass, Limoges Painted Enamels, Earthenwares and early Furniture at the Wallace Collection, Hertford House, London, and is author of a forthcoming book on Sir Richard Wallace and his career as a collector, the subject of her talk.
Lisburn’s landlord Sir Richard Wallace was well-known as a philanthropist and art collector, but what do we really know about the man himself?
Recent research carried out by the Wallace Collection in preparation for the bicentenary of his birth (2018) has revealed much new and fascinating information about his life and personality.
In this talk, Suzanne Higgott, a curator at the Wallace Collection and author of a new book about Sir Richard, will discuss his life and art collection in the light of this new information.
