The Hilden School Refurbishment and Reinvigoration Delivery Phase 2024-27 is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council are now able to commence an exciting programme of capital works that will enable the repurposing of this beautiful building as a registered day nursery and tearoom, organised through The Resurgam Trust. Accompanying this is a cultural programme organised by Lisburn’s Museum and Heritage Service, to include: an interpretive display of the history of Hilden School and area, a programme of cultural activities, and the training of volunteer heritage guides. The Heritage Fund grant has secured a sustainable future for the historic Hilden School building for the education and enjoyment of the local community, visitors to the Lisburn and Hilden area, and for the future.
