Are you considering donating to the Museum?

The museum regularly receives offers from people who wish to donate items to the collection. If you have an object relating to Lisburn and the wider lagan valley, or the Irish linen industry then please get in touch.

Please note, we may not be able to accept an offer for a number of reasons, including:

  • We  have a similar item in the collection
  • The item doesn’t meet our collecting policy
  • The item is not in good condition
  • There isn’t enough provenance information about the history of the item

Also, before making contact with us about a donation it is worth noting that we do not give valuations; we do not usually accept items on long-term loan, and; we can’t accept items with specific conditions attached

If you think you have an item related to the collection then please fill out the form below with your name and contact details, plus a description of the item and a note telling us all you know about its history and ownership. For further guidance, please contact the Keeper of Collections.
