Do you remember the snow from 1963? According to the Met Office, the ‘Big Freeze’ of 1963 was one of coldest winters on record! Just after Christmas 1962 through to early March 1963, a high pressure system brought bitterly cold weather from the north. Thousands of people were cut off in their villages by snowdrifts, rivers and lakes were frozen, and snow covered most of the land every day for more than two months! What are your memories of the time. Tell us!
