Fearghal’s His academic interest is in historical memory (including commemoration and museums).  Fearghal is historical consultant for several projects to mark the centenary of the Easter Rising and the Battle of the Somme.  His many publications includes Remembering 1916: the Easter Rising, the Somme and the Politics of Memory.
