Our Curator, Brian Mackey, with Linda Eaton, John L. & Marjorie P. McGraw Director of Collections & Senior Curator of Textiles at Winterthur Museum, Delaware, who visited the museum recently. Linda is researching linen damask made for the American market, and had the opportunity to explore the museum’s internationally-significant damask collection.

Brian Mackey, in the picture above, is showing a Coulson’s proof cloth, woven in 1821,and recently acquired by the museum.
