Our Egyptian series

Films often depict a cliched or stereotypical view of ancient Egypt. As part of series, we are looking at various creative interpretations of ancient Egypt from 1932 to 2023. Do we need to see films in context of their audience and time? Are films just for fun or do they have a role in helping us to understand or misunderstand other cultures? Have a think when you’re enjoying this classic movie in Assembly Room!

Visitors are invited to leave their feedback after each film.

Cost: Entrance to all films is FREE however tickets must be booked in advance online at www.lisburnmuseum.com or through Lisburn Museum Reception.
